I love you, Antelope!

Years ago, I don't even know how many, Adam said "I love you, dear!" And I answered back "I love you too, Antelope!" I think this is how it all began. Now we have a joke about it and it has turned into a game. I just wanted to do a quick post today to tell my "deer" antelope hubby that I love him! Today is our 14th anniversary! I can't believe how fast time has flown. Yet it seems like I have been with him FOREVER! Not in a bad way but we have been through a lot and have worked it out together. Here's to many more HAPPPY ANNIVERSARIES! I love you, Adam! Thanks for putting up with me and all my little (and sometimes big) problems. You are a great dad and for the most part a great husband. I wouldn't trade you for all the tea in China. Maybe all the gold in China but I don't like tea anyway! I love you! Here's to a better year!

Feeling Frustrated

I am so frustrated! Have you ever been in a situation that you just don't know how to feel? Well, that is how I am tonight. School fire has got me down, way down. I just want my stuff! Not even all of it, just one book that I wrote a story of my aunt Val in called "Our Heros." And one of her files that has her handwriting on it. Is that too much to ask? My wonderful aunt Val is truly my greatest hero. She passed away just over 4 years ago. When she died, since I was the teacher in the family I got most of her teaching stuff. Where would you put that kind of stuff if you were a teacher? In the school, huh! That's where it all was. Hundreds of books with "this book belongs to Miss Bleazard" in the front, hundreds if not thousands of files of her awesome teaching stuff, all of her good teaching stuff. Luckily or unluckily I gave all files that I didn't want to my great friend Shelly McKeever, whom I teach with, which means it's all there too! Wow, Oh wow I really want her stuff! I think I would be okay with them keeping ALL of MY things if I could just have those two special things! My Hero book and a sample of her handwriting that's all over her files..... Anybody want to stage a break in? It would only take me about 30 seconds inside the building cause I know right where these things are.....anyone, anyone?

Okay, I just wanted to prove to myself that I could do it! I think I may be able to figure out the "add a picture" to my post now. I will do more later I've gotta go break up another fight!

We're still here!

We are still here enduring the rainy days, keeping busy and having fun. We are off to a little mini-vaca tomorrow morning for lots of shopping in Racine, WI. Adam and I are going to a buying conference for my mom. I love to shop so it should be pretty fun. Now here's hoppin' my feet hold out. I just went to the doc this morning and he told me I have planters effaciaitis. That to me translates into TONS O' PAIN! But at least they are cute, hurting feet! (See the photo above.) More when we return! Thanks to my dear sister who is watching the kiddos. Nathan woke up with the flu at her house this morning :( Thanks, Laur, for taking care of my sick boy! What a wonderful sister I have. I'd bet you're all jealous.

I confess!

Okay, I confess I am addicted to blogging! I love it and it loves me, but I suck at it. I love to check everyone's blog, almost daily, but I have to admit something here. I hate it when I check back day after day and you haven't posted for a day or two. :) Then I got to thinkin' Lisa, you have no room to talk. I really don't have anything worth blogging about going on right now. I must admit we are going through some really hard, yucky times. I have to remind myself that "This too shall pass!" I have to keep that in mind daily as a mater of fact. I do need to remind myself that we all have our health, we have a house, for today anyway, and we have two, mostly beautiful children. Things aren't too great for us on the homefront lately. Pray for us and I promise I will try soon to get some new photos up here. I am feeling like I need to explain. I think we will be okay, but it's not something you want to post about. Just keep blogging for me so maybe someday I will be inspired enough to figure out how to do it well for my own blog.

Thanks, prom go-ers!

Last night was our high school's Jr. Prom and in small town USA that is a real big deal! I just wanted to say thanks to those of you juniors who made prom happen this year. Last night during the promenade (that's a big deal even for the whole town to go watch) I was sitting there with my dear sister in law, thanks for going Stace, and Maddie and got to thinkin'. Prom was such a HUGE part of High school and such a big deal. As I sat there listening to all the junior's names being announced I got a little teary eyed. Not only because a high percentage of them were my students, my second year teaching, but if they only knew what a little deal in the whole scheme of life they were living they would make so much more of it. Does that make sense? My point is that high school things that were such a big deal at the time were really not that big of a deal but oh, so important in shaping the rest of our lives. "This is the time of our lives" was the theme for the prom and isn't that true. Any time of our lives can be the time of our lives! Every choice, every good or bad thing we do today will shape us tomorrow. We need to live EVERY single day like this is the very best time of our lives! Easier said than done most days though, huh!? I am so thankful that I went to the prom last night. I know it sounds weird to say but I needed it! Those juniors that were out there having "the time of their lives" had no idea that they helped their old second grade teacher pull out of a crazy "winter time" funk that I have been in for about 6 months. Thanks, guys! You will probably never read this post or even care about it if you do but it sure was theraputic to write it down. And everybody who does read this take a lesson from this song "This is the time of our lives." Sorry, no pictures because you all know that I don't know how to download my camera and Adam is having a Sunday afternoon nap. {NEVER wake a sleeping bear! :)}

Spring Break! YES!!!

We don't have anything all that fun planned and even the things we do have planned will probably fall through, that's how it always goes, right! But even with nothing really planned I can't even tell you how excited I am for a little BREAK! I should get some picts up here. Maybe tomorrow I need to get to bed. It's almost 2 AM!!!
